About NLM Store

NLM Store, formerly known as Sanjeevini Mart, is a Karnataka Government initiative built to support Self-Help Groups (SHGs) across the state by giving their locally made products a professional, organized route to market.

The initiative promotes rural livelihoods by helping thousands of SHG producers digitize their catalogues, standardize warehousing, and reach customers through a unified retail and eCommerce experience ” rather than relying on fragmented, manual sales channels.

As part of its digital transformation, NLM Store required a single platform capable of running eCommerce, warehouse operations, and mobile commerce together ” with full visibility across 31 district warehouses statewide.

  • Formerly Sanjeevini Mart ” rebranded as NLM Store
  • A Government of Karnataka rural commerce initiative
  • Supports Self-Help Groups (SHGs) across the state

The Challenge

Operating at state scale, without a digital backbone

Before the transformation, NLM Store's operations across 31 districts depended almost entirely on manual processes ” creating friction at every stage, from warehouse floor to storefront.

01

Manual Warehouse Operations

Stock check-in, check-out, and movement were tracked on paper across every district warehouse.

02

No Centralized Inventory

Each warehouse maintained its own records, with no single source of truth for stock levels.

03

No Integrated eCommerce

Products could not be sold online in sync with real warehouse availability.

04

Difficulty Managing District Warehouses

Coordinating 31 separate locations with disconnected systems slowed every decision.

05

Manual Stock Updates

Inventory adjustments were entered by hand, introducing delay and human error.

06

Poor Digital Visibility

Leadership had no real-time view into sales, stock, or warehouse performance.

07

No Mobile Commerce

Customers and field staff had no dedicated app to browse, order, or manage stock on the go.

Our Solution

One unified platform, built module by module

We designed a connected ecosystem where the warehouse, the storefront, and the mobile experience all read from the same live data ” so every product tells the truth about where it is and how much of it exists.

Commerce Layer

eCommerce Platform & Seller Management

A full storefront for NLM's rural products, connected directly to live warehouse stock ” with dedicated tools for onboarding and managing SHG sellers and their catalogues.

Warehouse Management & Inventory Automation

A purpose-built WMS covering all 31 district warehouses ” automating stock alerts, barcode generation, and warehouse accounts so every product movement is logged in real time.

Mobile Layer

Android & iOS Applications

Native mobile apps extend the platform to field staff and customers alike ” supporting product browsing, orders, and warehouse check-in/checkout from anywhere.

Product Digitization & Training

Over 1,000 products were professionally photographed and catalogued, paired with on-ground training so warehouse and SHG staff could operate the new system with confidence.
